Do you want to know how powerful the Philippine passport is in 2019? The results are in and the Philippines jumped from 75th to 74th ranking in the world’s most powerful passports, competing with 199 countries.

Filipinos are now able to enter 66 countries without a visa, the 2019 Henley Passport Index reveals. This is good news for Filipinos.

The Henley Passport Index ranks passports worldwide based on data from the International Air Transport Association.

The list contains a total of 200 countries as part of the list, with rankings based on the number of countries where each country’s passport holders don’t need to use a visa to gain entry.



Japan is #1

Japan is still number one with its visa-free access to 190 countries in 2019, followed by Singapore and South Korea, which both placed second with visa-free entry to 189 countries worldwide.

Germany rounds out the top 3 as German passport holders are allowed visa-free access to 188 countries.


The Weakest Passports

Meanwhile, the Iraq and Afghanistan passports were the “weakest” with visa-free entry to only 30 countries.
